It is with extreme sadness that I share with you that Munchie has gone on to be with the Lord. On
May 24th, Munchie lost a battle with cancer. This was shortly after his twenty-ninth birthday. He was
suffering and we had to make the decision to do what was best for him.
We feel blessed to have had Munchie for the time that we did. When most people would have given
up on him when he went completely blind, our remarkable boy continued to impact lives across the
area.
We will never forget the way that he cocked his head to the side if he heard his daddy's voice. When I
hollered at him, he would nicker in return. When we sratched his back, one of his favorite past times
by the way, he always wanted to return the favor.
Munchie would push into me, shove me around, drag me ... but by golly, he was my boy. We bonded.
I loved him and he loved me. Precious Helpers will never forget this gentle giant who had an impact
on so many lives.

Munchie was a registered Appaloosa who went completely blind a couple years after arriving at
Precious Helpers.
Formerly a three-day event horse, Munch was most familiar with the English riding style. But his
relaxed demeanor allowed even the most apprehensive rider to climb on bare-back if the situation
dictated.
Munch joined our program from a nearby Indiana home in Corydon. His family loved him very much
but knew he would be a great asset to the program. He definitely was! He was always willing to do
anything asked of him. Although his size was quite intimidating to our younger visitors, they quickly
fell in love with him. Munchie was a favorite among visitors to the farm.
